This residence developed from our clients' desire to maintain the historical integrity of an 1850's Greek Revival farmhouse. The project involved completely renovating the main farmhouse, attaching and converting a dairy barn into living space and adding a natatorium. Special features of the natatorium include the use of recycled factory timbers as unique trusses, the reinstallation of the original granite foundation, the use of recycled roofing slate as a flooring material and the installation of an efficient environmental control system to manage humidity and heat, and recycle room heat back into heating the pool water. |
